The day started in Orison. Why? Because I had to do a character repair the night prior. After successfully claiming the bridge of an Idris with GoA, I got killed in action by swarming NPCs. It did not take much to neutralize me, since I was already on my last leg (Tier 1 arm, tier 2 chest).
Even though I died, I remained as a ghost on the Idris bridge. Nothing would move me from there, not logging off nor alt+f4. I would always spawn right back into my incorporeal self. A character repair was warranted. (3.24.3)

I wanted to continue mining in Pyro, and so I flew back with the rented Hull-A. If I were to be shot down upon arrival, it would not have mattered, the ship was not mine 🙂

One thing let to another and I hauled the first fruits of my pyro-mining back to Stanton. Why? It feels safer to have Pyro-Jumpoint as a distribution center. Once I have enough of one mineral to warrant a dedicated haul, I will sell it to the highest bidder in Stanton or Pyro.

As I got back to Ruin Station, I found a softdeaded MOLE! I went with a Pulse to check it out, and low and behold: free MOLE bags! ScreenShot-2024-12-27_08-38-50-A61

Took out the Prospector and left it close by the hull of Ruin Station. If I were to fly 300m and leave it closer to the MOLE, the hostile NPCs would start shooting at me 🤷‍♂️

Naturally, since there were only two bags, I had to make some SC-magic happen!

“I swear to you Mr. Insurance Inspector, that first Prospector had a weird sound coming from the engine!! It was driving me nuts! Even the landing pads were not able to repair it! It HAS to be something out of the ordinary! Therefore I felt that filing an insurance claim was only natural.”

I am not sure if he ended up believing me…

Mining intermission: Together with Murphy, Cadoyle, NautAutum and WeenderDawg we went to retrieve more keys for the contested zones. Weener had the misfortune of getting stuck inside of a wall, pretty much at the very beginning. Autum stayed outside in his gladious as a lookout while the rest of us went inside to clear the NPCs. Autum shot a Terrapin, a Gladiator and a crewed Redeemer down. The latter came back as a Polaris! As Autum said “If you cant swat the fly with a hammer, bring out the sledge-hammer”. It went for them as well as you can imagine. Autum slipped past almost all attacks and even diverted them from the Space bunker where we 3 were still getting the keys.
